Servoy JasperReports Plugin version 4.0.0 Beta 1 - Release Notes¶

A new version of the plugin, refered to as 4.0 beta 1, has just been created and released.
The correspoding builds are available at the files section.

The changes and implemented features in the current plugin include:

• dataset datasource reporting capabilities (please refer to the getting started guide for details)
• upgrade to the (currently) latest version of the Jasper Reports library, which is 4.6
• iReport 4.1.1
• Update Jakarta POI to the latest version

Please note that the present plugin version will be compatible with Servoy 6.0.x and up; for backward compatibility with Servoy 5.2.x, please refer to the (just released) version 3.3 of the plugin (and/or lower). The fixes and features of the 3.3.0 version have been included in the present 4.0b1 version also.
The 4.0.0 beta 1 of the plugin will require at least Java 1.6.

Library changes between JasperReports versions (4.0.0 to 4.6.0) include

• commons-digester library update
• commons-logging library update
• poi library update
• servlet library removed

A series of new libraries have also been added to the JasperReports 4.6.0 project; please refer to JasperReports for details.
